About Mel:
Born and bred in Barnstaple, Mel Lovering works in the maternity ward at North Devon District Hospital and is a Town Councillor with a passion for environmental and heritage issues.
In addition she is a Barnstaple Town Councillor, and part time student at Petroc College doing a two year diploma in health care and foundation mathss - ending in 2020.
Mel’s been chair of Barnstaple carnival committee and secured a lottery grant in 2016 to put on the vintage fair, steam engine road run and publish a book about Barnstaple fair. She arranged another event with a steam engine road run in s September 2019.
As she says - she likes to be busy!
