About Rod:

Rod is an enthusiastic and active member of the local community in Instow and North Devon.

Most Monday mornings he volunteers for the Red Cross supplying wheelchairs, commodes and other essential equipment to those in need.

He’s a trustee of Great Torrington Heritage Museum and helps with their media and fundraising activities as a volunteer. During the summer Rod volunteers for Oxfam as a supervising steward at major music festivals.

A recent member of the North Devon Liberal Democrats though a long term supporter, Rod has already made an impact with his open letter concerning the Yelland Power Station development to the residents of Instow. It received a very positive response and Rod continues the fight to support local interests.

"Since deciding to run for District Council, I have attended several Parish Council meetings in the ward and met several of the serving councillors to get a good feel for the issues and controversies in the various areas."

"The ward has expanded, across from the estuary at Instow to the river opposite Bishops Tawton. The issues from parish to parish are varied and complicated.!

"I hope I will be able to resolve or at least alleviate most of your concerns."
