    2 course buffet lunch £12
Beer, wine and soft drinks £3

Politics doesn’t have to be dull! Please join us for a Summer Garden Party on Exmoor, Saturday, 25th August, to enjoy good food and the company of like-minded people from across North Devon.

East Anstey is a small village so parking is limited. We advise as many of you to car share as possible. (It’s good for the planet too)!

Barton Farmhouse is a beautiful seventeenth century home. It was not designed with modern disability regulations in mind. It is not safely wheelchair accessible, and, although we are able to provide some mobility assistance, the ground floor loo is only accessible if you can stand. People using sticks need to be mindful of the small steps throughout the house. There is a completely flat seating area to facilitate as many needs as possible.

The £12 ticket price includes a home cooked two course buffet with ingredients sourced from local suppliers (fish and vegetarian options available). Beer, wine and soft drinks are £3 a glass or £12 for a bottle of wine.

Well behaved children are welcome and will be charged at half price for the buffet.

We look forward to seeing you on August 25th – let’s keep our fingers crossed for fine weather.

Please contact Rachel at rachel.c.gilmour@btinternet.com to let her know you will be coming.

    Annual Dinner 2018

Wera Hobhouse MPCome and join us for our annual dinner. Guest speaker Wera Hobhouse - Lib Dem Parliamentary spokesperson for Housing and Communities and MP for Bath.

Wera started her political life in Rochdale, where as a councillor she fought tirelessly against the building of 600 new homes and a children’s nursery on asbestos-contaminated land, ultimately winning this 7-year battle.

Since moving, with her family, to Bath she has immersed herself in local politics.

She is perhaps best known for her pro European and Internationalist views. She is strongly opposed to the brutal and destructive hard version of Brexit that Theresa May has chosen for us.
