A message from Cllr. David Chalmers
This is to let you know that the planning decision for building 61 houses west of Mead Park (which was rejected by Fremington Parish Council and North Devon District Council Planning Committees) has gone to appeal.
There will be a public enquiry on 6th and 7th December 9.30am to 5.00pm at the Castle Centre, 25 Castle Street, Barnstaple, EX31 1DR
At the discretion of the inspector, members of the public will be allowed to speak. The period for sending in written comments has lapsed, but having spoken with the inspectorate, they may still take account of additional submissions. It is really important that local people voice their opinions on this development by sending an email to Inspector Kerr Brown, quoting reference number 3154193: email@example.com
There is no need to write an essay - individual submissions will carry more weight if concise and written in your own words. Key points to think about include the effect on local roads, this development's absence from the five-year Local Plan, and the importance of our local green spaces.
If you intend to speak at the enquiry - please feel free to send me your suggestions via firstname.lastname@example.org, 07909 497 487, on my Facebook page, or on Twitter via @chalmersdavidn
