New Chairman of North Devon Lib Dems Delights In Resurgence

key_new_chair.jpgAlan Rennles, the new chairman of the North Devon Lib Dems said “I am delighted with the recent by-election victories where we won two District Council seats and two Town and Parish seats from the Tories. This resurgence has been seen throughout Devon where we recently won three other by-election seats in Teignbridge and Chudleigh”. These are challenging times and we are restructuring ready for the 2019 District, Town and Parish elections.

He went on to say “There is no doubt about it. People are fed up with the austerity policies being imposed on them. This is being felt across every aspect of North Devon lives. Health, Education, Highways, County and District Council Services are all impacted and the public are not prepared to put up with it. We in the Lib Dems are challenging at every opportunity.

Alan Rennles has over 25 years experience in local politics having served as Parish Councillor for Swimbridge, District Councillor for Landkey and is currently a Barnstaple Town Councillor and Fremington Parish Councillor.
